I make paintings out of what the world throws at me—literally. Discarded styrofoam, plastic scraps, old house paint, fabric from who-knows-where. These materials weren’t meant for art, but neither were a lot of things that end up being beautiful. I gather, I play, I experiment. I paint like I’m having a conversation—with the material, with movement, with whatever emotion is hanging in the air.

Sometimes it’s fast and fierce. Sometimes it takes years. I don’t control it—I follow it. I’ve spent decades building my own dialect in the language of painting, and it’s still evolving. The work isn’t clean or perfect—it’s alive. Just like life.

Painting, for me, is joy. It’s transformation. It’s alchemy. And nothing gets wasted.
